Leave Merthyr Tydfil along the A4102 and join the A4054 to Aberdare. From Aberdare town centre, follow signs over the mountain to Maerdy. Follow the A4233 from Maerdy down the valley until you reach Tylorstown. The journey covers a distance of approximately 19 km and takes about 26 mins (depending on the traffic).
